1. The application does not want to launch
Most likely you do not have Java Runtime Environment 1.6 (JRE 1.6) installed on your computer. You can download the newest version of JRE here: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads.
2. Do I need to have JRE 1.6 installed?
Yes.
3. Do I need to have MySQL server installed?
No. The default database system used in application is HSQLDB, which is distributed along with it.
4. I cannot connect to existing HSQLDB database.
Please check if you are putting in correctly spelled name of the database, in case you do not that, a new empty database with name you entered will be created.
5. I am using HSQLDB database, I have recovered .jahoca directory from backup, but I cannot connect to the database now.
Make sure that files in the .jahoca folder are not marked as read-only, this could be caused by for example copying the backup to a CD. In case these files are marked read-only, please give them user write permissions.
6. I somehow cannot connect to MySQL server.
Please make sure you have filled your user login information to the MySQL server correctly. If this problem persist, please contact us.
7. Can I change adress and login information to the MySQL server?
Yes, by clicking on menu Settings inside of the main application window.
8. Under which license is JaHoCa distributed?
GNU: General Public Licence, it is freeware application.
9. Are my login information saved safely?
Yes they are, all sensitive informations are saved in encrypted form.
10. Do I have right to demand any reparations in case the application will fail?
No you do not, authors abandon responsibility for any loss caused by the application and for any reasons such as unexperienced manipulation with the application, stealth of the users personal information by third person or failing in the application. However the application was very well tested and chances of occurence of any failings are minimal.
